How to Choose a Wedding Photographer

How to Choose a Wedding Photographer

Photos and videos are what you keep for life, so it is worth asking the right questions before you book a photographer.

Ask to see complete albums, not only a few best photos. A full album shows how the photographer covers a whole function: the rituals, the family and the small moments in between.

Understand the style you want. Conventional coverage gives classic group photos and full-length video. Candid coverage captures natural, unposed moments. Cinematic video adds a teaser or highlight film with music. Many families choose a mix.

Be clear about what you will receive: the album size and number of sheets, the videos (full video, teaser, song) and any e-invitations or e-cards. Ask for all of this in a written quotation so there are no surprises later.

Share your full function schedule early: Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeeth, rituals, muhurtham and reception. This helps the team plan for every function, and book your date as early as you can.
